Kathleen A. "Kate" Schrage, age 68, of Columbus, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Bryan LGH in Lincoln.
Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, and continued from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday morning prior to the funeral at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the McKown Funeral Home.
Interment was at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus.
McKown Funeral Home of Columbus was in charge of arrangements.
Kate was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Sargent to Donald and Alberta (Janulewiez) Coble. She moved to Omaha and graduated from Omaha South in 1962.
Kathleen was united in marriage to Bruce Knapp, Jr. She later married David Wozny. She then was united in marriage to Jim Schrage. The couple lived in Orchard until 2011, when Kathleen moved to Columbus.
Kate held numerous jobs during her life and was a true blessing to everyone who knew her. She loved animals, crocheting, reading books and puzzling with her best friend Fran Drake.
She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Bruce Wozny and finance Cindy Lawrence of Columbus; two daughters, Kay Nelson and special friend, Tom Tasler of O'Neill and Sue and Todd Ligenza of Columbus; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; first husband, Bruce Knapp, Jr. of Minot, ND; third husband, Jim Schrage of Orchard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Alberta Coble; one son, Steven E. Wozny; and second husband, David Wozny.
