James R. Ollendick, 63, of O'Neill, died Monday, July 11, 2022.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Cemetery in Ewing.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Meyer Brothers Funeral Homes in Sioux City, Iowa is in charge of the arrangements.

Jim was a friend to many people.  If someone needed help with their vehicle, he always had the part to fix it and bought and sold vehicles for many years. Jim had a kind heart for animals, taking in many strays over the years and giving them a home.  

Jim is survived by his mother Wilma Ollendick of O'Neill; five siblings Sherri Paul of Hastings, Richard (Misty) of Crofton, Kim Binkerd of Hastings, Jerome (Kathy) and Jeremy, all of Tilden; two aunts Lois (Clarence) Behnk of Neligh and Bev Grimes of Kearney; his stepmother Deb Ollendick of Tilden; and many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his father James A. Ollendick; grandparents:  Joseph and Ruth Ollendick and Fred Sr. and Dorothy Babutzke; five aunts and uncles Fred (Cecelia) Babutzke Jr., Joseph (Barb) Ollendick, Bob Ollendick, Josephine Gibson and Jerry Ollendick.
