Jackolyn "Jackie" Kaye Collier, 62, of O'Neill, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill after a four year battle with cancer. Visitation was held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a prayer service. Following her wishes, she will be cremated and a private family burial will be held at a later date in the Inman Cemetery in Inman. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Jackolyn was born to Lester and Audrey (Blakeman) Clure on Dec. 22, 1960 in Broken Bow. She was later joined by her little brother Wayne Clure. She met and later married Martin Collier, and Martin will tell you that she asked him out. Martin and Jackie were married for 44 years. Together they had two children Mindy and Nikki. Jackie began her working life in restaurants but found bookkeeping to be her calling while running MC Trucking with her husband, later with Peterson and Son, and then O'Neill Auto Supply. She found her career with the City of O'Neill, first with the City Offices, and then for the O'Neill Police Department. She also worked for the O'Neill Fire Department keeping their books in order, as was her way, organized and efficient. She assisted various agencies through her position with the Police Department, did some grant writing for body cams and drug dog, along with fundraising and community events. One of her latest achievements was her certification as one of the first CASA volunteers in Holt County, while fighting cancer. Jackie loved to crochet, gather with family, help the community, read, cook and enjoy her pets and “grand-puppy.” She adored her grandchildren Riley Davis, Abby Page, Bryon Scott, Brenna Davis and Chloe Scott. She was never happier than when she was attending a grandkid's activity, game or recital. Jackie is survived by her husband Martin Collier of O'Neill; two children Mindy (Devin) Scott of Clarkson and Nikki (Tim) Davis of O'Neill; five grandchildren Riley Davis, Abby Page, Bryon Scott, Brenna Davis and Chloe Scott; and one brother Wayne (Lori) Clure of Oak Grove, OR. She was preceded in death by her mother Audrey (Blakeman) Clure and her father Lester Clure.
