Visitation for Jack Lynn Fry, age 62, of Ewing was held on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing with Father James Kramper officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Harpster.

Pallbearers were Duke Hobbs, Jim Hobbs, Bob Musil, Tim Woslager, Chad Napier and Randy Hawk.

Honorary pallbearers were John Moser, Dan Koenig, Clifford Steskal and Todd Bollwitt.

Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Ewing.

Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater was in charge of the arrangements.

Jack was born on Oct. 18, 1948, in Tilden to Lynn and Marilyn (Napier) Fry. He attended Riverside till the eighth grade and then graduated from Ewing High School with the class of 1966. He attended college at Northeast Community College in Norfolk.

Jack enlisted into the United States Army on May 9, 1968, at Omaha. He served in Vietnam. He was discharged on March 20, 1970, from Fort Stewart, GA.

He returned to Ewing and on June 5, 1971, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Hobbs at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing. To this marriage two children, Bridget and Johann, were born.

They owned Jack's Pub for seven years; owned The Way Christian Book Store in Neligh; and he worked for Hobb's Feedlot most of his working career.

Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and most of all, he loved his work. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and taught religious education for numerous years.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children: Bridget and husband Dan Riedell of Marion, Iowa, and Johann and wife Lindsay Fry of Omaha; seven grandchildren: Josephine, Isabelle, Miriam and Xavier Riedell and Madelynn, Mackenzie and Jack Fry; and a sister, Sheila and husband Bob Musil of Eugene, OR.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
