Hometown Christmas December 6

Nov 27, 2024 (0)

The annual Hometown Christmas celebration in downtown O'Neill is coming up very soon, on Friday, Dec. 6. This year, there will be all sorts of activities to attend.

From 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Kloppenborgs will be at the corner of 3rd and Douglas streets, where their Hayrack Rides will be set up.

Handlebend will also be open at this time, and tons of activities will be held there. Crafts for Kids hosted by AseraCare Hospice and Little Tots Preschool and Daycare will be one of them. A Free Will Donation Soup Supper sponsored by the O'Neill Assembly of God Church will be set up for something to eat. There will be a Bake Sale, Christmas Tattoos, and much more!

Running from 4-7 p.m. will be live Reindeer sponsored by Little Tots Preschool and Daycare. They will be located at the corner of 3rd and Douglas streets.

Be sure to bring the kids to Handlebend between 5 and 6:30 p.m., as Santa Claus will be there just in time for Christmas.

Another event during the celebration is the Christmas Lighted Parade. Held at 7 p.m. this year, the parade is an annual part of the celebration, during which businesses and individuals in the community stroll Downtown in their Christmas-themed floats.

Entries must be in by Tuesday, Dec. 3. For more information, visit https://www.oneillchamber.com/ and look for the Lighted Christmas Parade entry form.

At the end of the parade, visit 3rd and Douglas one last time to see the Community Christmas Tree lit up.
