Chair John Hammerlun called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Dan Drueke, Tom Welsh, Kevin DeKay, Dan Pribil, Chair John Hammerlun, Supervisor Dustin Breiner and Bill Babutzke Weed Superintendent. 

Minutes Approved: Dan Drueke made a motion to approve the minutes and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved. 

Claims Approved: Kevin DeKay made a motion to approve the claims and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.

Old Business: N/A

New Business: Spraying county asphalt roads first. Working on trees and brush throughout the county.

One 10 day notice is out yet.

Bill attended his Summer Training, these hours recertified his Applicator License. Holt County was granted 5 releases of Knapweed bugs. The 500 bugs are from USDA APHIS PPQ with a value of $750.00. 

LSWTF (Leafy Spurge Working Task Force) Conference and Field Day is being held in Ord this year on August 22, and 23rd. The conference will be on Leafy Spurge Control, Bio Control Options, Herbicide Options, Weed Free Forage and Giant Knot Weed.

Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. 

Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.

Next Meeting will be Wednesday September 14th, at 7:00 P.M. at the Weed Department Office.
