Date: 02-12-2026 The Holt County Noxious Weed Board met in regular session. This meeting was publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S, 1943 Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on KBRX February 9 2026, on the radio. Dan Pribil convened the meeting at 6:00 P.M. and informed the public of the location of the Open Meeting Poster. The meeting started at 6:00 P.M. Present: Dan Pribil, Supervisor Dustin Breiner, Caleb Ross, Dan Drueke, Kevin Dekay, Tom Welsh and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. Absent: N/A Minutes Approved: made a motion to approve the minutes by Caleb Ross and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved. Claims Approved: made a motion to approve the claims by Dustin Breiner and Kevin Dekay seconded. All approved. Public comments: None were made. Old Business: NET Grant was approved. Shredding- 209 hours.on the machine. New Business: Facebook page- Bill will be starting one for Holt County Weed Control. We are starting to look for summer help, we are looking for one person. Board discussed maybe contact some of the local schools to see if they have any seniors looking for summertime help. Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
