Date: 11-13-2025 The Holt County Weed Board met in regular session. This meeting was publicized pursuant to Section 84-1411 R.R.S, 1943. Notice of meeting given in advance thereof by publication in paper as shown by Affidavit of Publication on KBRX November 13, 2025, on the radio. Dan Pribil convened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. and informed the public of the location of the Open Meeting Poster. The meeting started at 7:00 P.M. Present: Dan Pribil, Caleb Ross, Dan Drueke, Kevin Dekay, Tom Welsh and Weed Superintendent William Babutzke. Absent: Supervisor Dustin Breiner Minutes Approved: made a motion to approve the minutes by Tom Welsh and Kevin Dekay seconded. All approved Claims Approved: made a motion to approve the claims by Kevin Dekay and Caleb Ross seconded. All approved Public comments: None were made Old Business: N/A New Business: Summer help is done for the year. Bill asked for the board to keep their ears open for next year if someone is wanting/needing a job. Shredding – 74 hrs are on the machine as of this week. There is a lot to do in the west part of the county. The Weed Department office evaluation with the NDA was done in October. Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.
