Chair John Hammerlun called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Present: Tom Welsh, Kevin DeKay, Dan Pribil, Chair John Hammerlun, Supervisor Dustin Breiner and Bill Babutzke Weed Superintendent.

Excused Dan Drueke

Minutes Approved: Kevin DeKay made a motion to approve the minutes and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved. 

Claims Approved: Tom Welsh made a motion to approve the claims and Dan Pribil seconded. All approved.

Old Business: Tracking device. Tabled to next meeting.

New Business: Volitant Drone Technology Solutions Mathew Smither from Winner South Dakota, was here on September 26th and 27th and October 3rd and 4th and sprayed Phragmites in Holt County north to south. This was NET (Nebraska Environmental Trust) grant money project. 

LSWTF (Leafy Spurge Working Task Force) Conference and Field Day was held in Ord this year on August 22, and 23rd. The conference was on Leafy Spurge Control, Bio Control Options, Herbicide Options, Weed Free Forage and Giant Knot Weed. Bill attended and reported Japanese Knotweed. This is located by Greely Nebraska. 

Bill will return to shredding October 17th for the Road Department.

Information on the following list of twelve noxious weeds found in Nebraska can be located at the neweed.org website with sufficient information on each noxious weed. 

Canada Thistle, Musk Thistle, Plumeless Thistle, Purple Loosestrife, Spotted Knapweed, Diffuse Knapweed, Saltcedar, Phragmites, Giant Knotweed, Japanese Knotweed, Sericea Lespedeza, Leafy Spurge.

Next Meeting will be Wednesday November 9th, at 6:00 PM at the Weed Department Office.  

Dan Pribil made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Tom Welsh seconded. All approved. 

Meeting adjourned at 8:13 pm.
