Elizabeth "Lyba" McEachern, age 91, formerly of Sun City, AZ, received the gift of eternal life on Aug. 26, 2012, at Alpine Village in Verdigre.

A memorial service will be held at Sun City Christian Church Chapel at 11 a.m. on Oct. 13, 2012, in Sun City, AZ.

She was born on March 21, 1921, in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Coral Sears and Beulah McSpadden. She grew up in Amarillo and attended Amarillo High School and earned her bachelor's degree at Texas Tech University.

Lyba and her husband, Bill, raised their family in Aspen, CO, where they owned the Westerner Motel. Bill was the director of the music department at Aspen High School where Lyba assisted in many school activities, fitting band uniforms and designing costumes for musicals.

They retired to Sun City,  AZ, where they were active members of Sun City Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church. Lyba enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. She loved her family, friends, music, flowers, painting and decorating.

Following Bill's death in 2003, Lyba relocated to Nebraska to live near her daughter, Sara.

Lyba is survived by two daughters, Coral Dillon and husband, John of Calhan, CO, and Sara Kubik and husband, Terry of Page; two grandsons, Bill Dillon and Jerry Kubik; two granddaughters, Becky Dillon and Jessica Rinker; three-great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren.

She asked that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
