Newport — Earnest "Ernie" VanHorn, 87, of Newport, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 at Parkside Manor in Stuart.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at the funeral home in Atkinson.

Burial will be in Hope Enterprise Cemetery in rural Orchard at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
