Eagles Fall To Hartington C.C.

The O'Neill Eagles started their season with a bump, falling 26-0 to the Hartington C.C. Trojans.

The Eagles had trouble moving the ball on the ground, managing only 61 yards, with Fabian Acevedo and Landon Classen running the yards.

The Eagles had a little more success throwing the ball with Sean Coventry grabbing five receptions for 58 yards, Clay Shaw three catches for 32 yards and Walker Peter one catch for 20 yards.

The Eagles ran 51 plays for nine first downs and had three penalties for 35 yards.

The Trojans ran 50 plays for seven first downs and had four penalties for 25 yards.

Korbyn Grenier led the Eagles in tackles with seven, Coventry six tackles, Salvador Rodriguez six,Classen five tackles, Acevedo five tackles, Shaw five tackles, Ryder Pokorny four tackles, Drew Morrow four tackles,Walker Peter two tackles, Joey Engelbart two tackles,Holden Jenkins one tackle and Lance Schmeichel one tackle.

The Eagles will travel to Valentine to face the Badgers on Friday, Sept. 3
