The Eagle Wrestlers have been putting in work this season, and they recently brought home more solid rankings. Tuesday, Dec. 30 the boys traveled to Ord for a smaller invitational. There may not have been too many competitors, but that only gave more spotlight to the Eagles. The team wrestled their way to third place with 174 points, behind Central City with 282 points and Northwest with 218. Then, last Friday, Jan. 2, the lady Eagles took to the road for a meet hosted by Winnebago Public Schools. The team took 21st place out of 38 competitors with 43.0 points. The top three spots were taken by Lexington, Millard South and Omaha Westside. Placing for the Eagles were Grace Drueke at 130 lbs. placing second, JV Isabelle Krause at 105 lbs. placing 1st and JV Bristol Engelhaupt at 110 lbs. placing fourth.
