Dorothy touched the lives of everyone she met. She lived her life to the fullest and loved her family dearly. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to her children and grandchildren, teaching them how to clean chickens, can fruits and vegetables, and make jelly. She enjoyed sharing her favorite family recipes, crocheting and embroidering gifts for her family. Rummy was her favorite card game and Dorothy spent countless hours challenging anyone who would play with her.

Dorothy taught her family how to be strong and persevere in the face of hardship. She showed them courage, strength and faith. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.
