Dorothy E. Kramer, widow of E.W. "Bill" Kramer, age 89, of Neill, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2011, in Lincoln. Visitation was held one hour prior to services. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at the Nebraska United Methodist Church in O'Neill with Pastor Craig Collins officiating. Interment was at the Prospect Cemetery in O'Neill. Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln was in charge of arrangements. Dorothy E. Kramer was born on March 1, 1922, to Betty and Robert Fox in Buffalo County. She graduated from Atkinson High School in 1939. She worked for the War Department in Washington DC where she met her husband, E.W. "Bill" Kramer. They settled in O'Neill after the war. Dorothy was a nurse's aide and later a supply manager at St. Anthony's Hospital. She retired in 1984. Later she moved into the Evergreen Assisted Living and subsequently to Legacy in Lincoln. She was Past Noble Grand of Eden Rebekah Lodge No. 41. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Beth (John) Leyes of Stillwater, MN, and Rene' (Doug) Schmitz of O'Neill; three sons, Bruce (Lorene) Kramer of Lincoln, Tom (Tami) of Roseville, CA, and Todd (Karen) of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Robert Kramer.
