Kearney — Donald "Don" Joseph O'Connell, 89, of Kearney, formerly of Atkinson, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2023 at Central Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney.

Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson. Fr. Ross Burkhalter will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the Atkinson American Legion Farley/Tushla Post No. 86.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
