Dennis J. Truman Dennis John Truman, age 51, of Bristow, passed away on May 18, 2011, at Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch. Visitation was held on Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer. Memorial services were held on Monday May 23, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Bristow Community Hall in Bristow. Reverend Paulo de Tarso Ribeiro officiated. Burial was in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Stuart. Pallbearers were Chris Hamilton, Jim Shearer, James Shearer, Tony hearer, Lyle Shearer, Sean Bott, Michala Costello, Amanda Hamilton, Janeen Hamilton, Wendy Bauer and Lena Shearer. Seger Funeral Home of Atkinson and Stuart was in charge of the arrangements. Dennis John Truman, son of John “Del” and Verna Jean (Fox) Truman, was born on September 2, 1959 in >Omaha. He graduated from O’Neill Public School in O’Neill. On May 13, 1981, he married Anita Harms >at Fremont. Two children were born to them, Jeremiah and Aaron. Dennis and Anita lived in Fremont and O’Neill before moving to Bristow. Dennis was a member of the Bristow United Methodist Church in Bristow. He was also an active member of the Bristow Volunteer Fire >Department. Dennis was the owner and operator of Ponca Valley Custom Body Shop in Bristow. He is survived by his wife, Anita; two sons, Jeremiah Truman of Bristow and Aaron Truman of Chicago, IL; one brother David Truman; and father, Del Truman. He was preceded in death by his >mother, Verna Jean; grandparents, Charles and Charlotte Fox and Edith and John Truman.
