Inman — Delores Jean Miller, 77, of Inman, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at her home in Inman. Visitation was held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a prayer service. Funeral services were held Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill. Pastor Mike Durre officiated. Burial was in the Inman Cemetery in Inman. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation. Delores was born Sept. 28, 1946 in Inman to Albert and Genevieve (Butterfield) Kopejtka. She was the third youngest of seven children. Dee attended elementary school in Inman, then after the Inman High School closed, she went to high school in Page. In 1963, Dee married Bill Baker and the couple moved to Orange County, CA. She worked as a waitress in a donut shop. Dee fondly remembered the day she was a suspect in a bank robbery down the road, until her boss told the police that she had been at work all day. She and Bill later divorced in the late 60's. Dee then moved back to Fremont for a short time where she had her daughter Lisa. In 1970, she moved back to Inman, working as a waitress at Woody's and Seger's. She later had her son Scott, in 1973. Dee was at Gaylen's Bar one night where she met Curt Miller. After several years of dating, the couple married on April 29, 1983 in O'Neill. To this union two children were born Chris and Ashley. Dee was the housekeeper at the Sunset Hotel and Valley Hope. She also worked at Harte's Pub and Dollar General for many years and later she worked as the custodian at O'Neill Elementary. Dee enjoyed dancing, attending rodeo's, going on road trips, a nice cold Coors Light and also enjoyed listening to music. She also loved spending time with her family and cooking up a great meal. She was also an avid member of the O'Neill Eagles Club. Delores is survived by her four children Lisa Everett, Scott (Kasey) Baker and Chris Miller, all of Inman, and Ashley Peterson of Stuart; eight grandchildren Nikkita Everett, Caige Anson, Jocie Anson, Emma Peterson, Robert Peterson, Faith Peterson, William Peterson and Rylan Baker; her sister Carolyn Sass of Huron, SD; her brother Gary (Diane) Kopejtka of Lincoln; her dog Coco of Inman; many nieces, nephews and many bonus children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Curt Miller in 1994; sons-in-law Jeff Everett and Ollin Peterson; one grandson Nicholus Everett; and her four siblings Lyle “Sonny” Kopejtka, Irene “Tootie” Beed, Albert “Babe” Kopejtka Jr. and Shirley Chmiel.
