Connie Walters

Connie Walters, age 75, of O'Neill, passed away early Monday morning, March 25, 2013, at University Hospital in Omaha.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Assembly of God Church in O'Neill with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mike Durre officiated with music provided by organist, Deb Frederick and singers, Rev. Mike Durre and Lori Rushing.

Inurnment will be in a Phoenix Arizona Cemetery at a later date. Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.

Connie was born on June 10, 1937, in Herrick, SD, to Arthur and Edna (Ohmart) Rosenkrans. She graduated from Ontario High School in California and then went on to college to earn her associate of arts degree.

She met Allen Walters and they  were married on Sept. 4, 1955, in O'Neill.

Connie is survived by her husband Allen of O'Neill; two sons, Allen  Walters, Jr. and wife Karen of Buckeye, AZ, and Doug Walters and wife Laura of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter, Lori Rushing and husband Tim of Riverside, CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Kreig of Oregon and Carolyn Wershing of Tempe,  AZ, and one brother, Richard Rosenkrans of Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant grandchildren, Megan Rushing and Brian Michael Walters.
