Laura Reynoldson

Laura Reynoldson, recipient of the 2022 Outstanding County Court Clerk Magistrate Award, will be featured for her achievement on the front of the Judicial Branch Website beginning Feb. 9.

Reynoldson is an exemplary public servant who goes beyond expectations in fulfilling her responsibilities to Holt County Court and other courts within the 8th Judicial District. During recent staffing shortages, she traveled with County Court Judge Kale Burdick to neighboring county courts within the district, where Reynoldson assisted fellow court staff with workloads and equipment.  She was also instrumental in conducting new-hire interviews and training new staff. Reynoldson collaborated with the judge to facilitate relationships with local high schools and establish a pilot internship program, educating further generations on the vital work of Nebraska's court system.

Chief Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court, Mike Heavican, presented Reynoldson with her award on Dec. 12, 2022, during the Nebraska Judicial Branch's 14th annual recognition ceremony.

Judge Kale Burdick noted, “Laura Reynoldson is a great example of what a public servant should be.  She goes above and beyond her duties to help her colleagues and those who interact with the county courts.  Laura is an outstanding clerk magistrate who is deserving of this recognition.”

The Judicial Branch Employee Recognition Committee selected Reynoldson from an extensive list of nominees. The Supreme Court designed the program to recognize ongoing employee dedication, acknowledge exemplary contributions, and encourage employee commitment.

The awards are the highest honors given by the Nebraska Supreme Court, recognizing meritorious performance by court and probation employees in the Nebraska Judicial System. There are over 1,600 employees in the judicial system in court and probation offices statewide.
