Cleo F. Sawyer, age 97, of Inman, passed away early Thursday morning, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Golden LivingCenter in O'Neill.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Inman Community Church in Inman with Randy Schmeichel officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Tom Peters and soloist, Marsha Kopecky.
Pallbearers were Dick Kopecky, Alan Morrow, Jerry Miles, Verdel Meyers, Guy Reynolds and Glen Sholes.
Interment was in the Inman Cemetery.
Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.
Cleo Frances Coakley was born on May 27, 1915, in Scotia, to Richard and Cora (McCement) Coakley. She married Clifford Waine Sawyer on Sept. 3, 1932, in Loup City. Clifford passed away on Jan. 9, 1998.
She worked at Nissen's Flower and Gift Shop in O'Neill and was proprietor of Sawyer's Service in Inman for 37 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Cleo is survived by two sons: Larry Sawyer and wife, Kae of Kearney and Mick Sawyer and wife, Sherryl of Inman; one daughter-in-law, Madeline Sawyer of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; one son, Jim; four brothers and four sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Inman Community Church.
