Claude "Todd" Hamilton, age 87, of O'Neill, passed away, Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at the Golden LivingCenter in O'Neill.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.
Funerasl services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012, at Biglin's Mortuary with Rev. Luke Steffes officiating.
Pallbearers were Dale Kleinschmit, Dan Brockman, Richard Smith, Jason Hamilton, Clarence Gokie and Kent Will.
Interment was in the O'Neill Calvary Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by O'Neill American Legion Simonson Post #93 and O'Neill VFW Post #926.
Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.
Todd was born on March 28, 1924 to Claude Sr. and Minnie (Zubka) Hamilton in Phoenix, NE.
He served in the U.S. Army during Word War II from 1943-1946 as a medic and ambulance driver. He married Lois Maxine Jones on March 3, 1950, in O'Neill.
He owned and operated Todd's Bar in Atkinson, ran a creamery in Stuart and sprayed noxious weeds in Holt County. He was a life member of the O'Neill American Legion Simonson Post #93 and O'Neill VFW Post #926.
Todd is survived by his wife, Maxine; three daughters: Sandy Kleinschmit and husband, Dale of Norfolk; Bonnie Will and husband, Kent of Bradshaw and Shelly Brockman and husband, Dan of Winside; one son, Steve Hamilton and wife, Charlotte of O'Neill; one grandson, Jason Hamilton and wife, Desiree of Plattsmouth; three great-grandchildren: Mercedes, Dominic and Myles; two sisters: Dororhy Bruce of Denver, CO, and Hazel Lawrence of Missouri.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, two brothers and three sisters.
