The Holt County Independent has made the decision to no longer print its church page. "The page which lists times of services and names of ministers has run its course", said Publisher Terry Miles. Everyone can access their church news which was on the page by another source of either social media or electronic communications. The page is no longer able to pay for itself in the publication and column inches cost in the world of newspaper production. The freedom of not having to pay for the page will open up space for more news coverage which could include snippets of news from churches or church organizations.
