The St. Mary's Cardinal boys are into conference play this week with a 17-1 record losing only to Norfolk Catholic at the end of the year.

The Cards downed Creighton and Stuart this past week before going into conference play against Santee winning 81-25 on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Jan. 27 the Cards collided with Creighton winning big 93-48.

Ben Barlow got off 23 points and one steal to lead the Cards; Logan Brabec got in 17 points hitting five of 11 three pointers and four steals; Gage Hedstrom had 16 points and two steals; Lane Bybee had 10 points and nine rebounds; James Eby, Xzavier Parks, Max Berg and Eli Banks all contributed six points and Connor Banks had three points on the night.

On Thursday Jan. 29 the Cards hosted the Stuart Broncos winning 75 -36.

The Broncos played tough the first quarter but the Cards multi faceted office took off giving them a 43-20 lead at the half. 

Barlow led the Cards again with 26 points making six of nine in three pointers and three steals and six rebounds; Bybee had 14 points under the bucket and six rebounds; Eby had 11 points shooting about 50 percent of his three pointers; Hedstrom had eight points; Brabec had four points and five rebounds;Parks had three points and one rebound; and Drake Berg had three points.

Leading for the Broncos were: Kayde Ramm with 11, Drew Schmaderer with nine points, Lane Boelter with seven points and Tommy Paxton with six points.

On Saturday the Cards started  conference play against Santee winning easily 81-25.

Parks led the Cardinals with 18 points making six of 10 three pointers and had three steals; Barlow had 13 points and two steals; Eby had nine points and one steal and two rebounds; Max Berg had eight points, two steals and six rebounds; Brabec had eight points, four rebounds and one steal; Eli Banks had seven points, one steal and four rebounds; Hedstrom had five points, three rebounds and two steals;Bybee had four points, two rebounds and one steal; Drake Berg had three points and four rebounds; Memphis Brabec had two points, one steal and four rebounds; Brayden Krugman had two points and three rebounds; and John Mlnarik had two points and six rebounds.
