Last week was an easy one for the St. Mary's Cardinal boys, as they only had one match where they quickly disposed of Santee. Quarter one was a solid start from both teams, but the Cards took the lead by four points. The Warriors started to trail in the second when they only managed eight points where the Cards put up 24. During the third, it was made obvious the Warriors had no chance-falling 31-14. The final quarter only added insult to injury with a 22-8 set to end off the match. Gage Hedstrom had a staggering 28 points, shooting two of six three-pointers for 33 percent and seven of 16 two-pointers for 44 percent. Hedstrom also had eight rebounds and two steals; Logan Brabec not far behind with 23 points and nine rebounds; Ben Barlow had 21 points, four rebounds and three steals; Eli Banks had six points and two rebounds; Drake Berg six points; Max Barg two points and one rebound; Xzavier Parks two points; Risken Dawson five rebounds; Carson Dannenbring two rebounds; and Sam Barlow one rebound. SMHS 11 24 31 22 88 SHS 15 8 14 8 45 This match is currently the Cardinal's highest scoring game of their season, with their previous being 81 points against Niobrara/Verdigre.
