The St. Mary's Cardinals went on a winning streak last week, defeating both Niobrara/Verdigre and Santee. Their first match ended in a score of 2-0 in the Cardinals favor. The Cards won in two sets, 25-16 and 27-25. Lorissa Reiman led the Cardinals with 10 kills, two ace serves and seven digs; Mya Hedstrom nine kills, three ace serves, one block and four digs; Alissa Brabec two kills, four ace serves, six digs and 17 set assists; Emma Otte one kill, eight digs and one set assist; Hope Williamson one ace serve and six digs; Emma Winkelbauer two digs; Joslyn Eby four ace serves and one dig. Later that day, the Cards faced off against the Santee Warriors. The game ended with the same score as the last, 2-0 for the Cards win. Two sets were played, 14-25 and 12-25 were the scores. Leading the Cards this time was Hedstrom with nine kills, three ace serves, one block and one set assist; Reiman five kills, one ace serve and two blocks; Brabec one kill, two ace serves and 13 set assists.
