The Stuart Bronco Football team is advancing to the state semi-finals for the second season in a row after a hard-fought win against the Leyton Warriors. It was a back-and-forth contest against the Warriors but the Broncos scored late in the 4th quarter and an interception by Nigel Addison sealed the deal. The Warriors came out firing on all cylinders and scored on their opening possession. The Bronco's offense managed to score one touchdown in the first half but were down 12-7 at half. The Broncos had a great second half and pulled out the win with a final of 31-25. Kayde Ramm led the offense with 121 yards passing and 46 yards rushing. Drew Schmaderer was Ramm's favorite receiver with six catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Owen Littau had 41 yards on just six carries. Tommy Paxton had one catch for nine yards and Atwood Albrecht had two catches for 18 yards. The defense was led by Littau as he accounted for 10 tackles. Ramm wasn't far behind with nine tackles and two sacks. Schmaderer had ninetackles and an interception. Albrecht had seven tackles. Paxton, Bryer Almgren and Nigel Addison each had three tackles, and Addison also had an interception. Lane Boelter accounted for three extra points and one tackle. The Broncos will travel to Oskosh Friday afternoon for a rematch with the Garden County Eagles. The Eagles edged the Broncos back in September 28-14. Kickoff is set for 5 pm CT.
