The Stuart Bronco football team hosted the Wolves from Arthur County on Friday night in the Quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Both teams came in with an 8-1 record. The Broncos won the game 51-12. The Broncos started out fast when freshman Tommy Paxton forced a fumble on the opening kickoff and Kayde Ramm recovered it. Three plays later the Broncos offense put the ball on the endzone with a 12-yard run by Ramm. The starting defense was very strong again as they only allowed six points for the contest. The offense was led by Kayde Ramm who threw for 202 yards on nine completions. Five of those were for touchdowns. Ramm also ran for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Ramm's favorite receiver was Ben Paxton. Paxton had six catches for 122 yards and four touchdowns. Hunter Tubbs had two catches for 62 yards and one touchdown. Gavynn Mustin had a catch for 18 yards. Drew Schmaderer had nine carries for 73 yards and Owen Littau had 12 carries for 59 yards. The defense was led by Hunter Tubbs who had 10 tackles for the game. Kayde Ramm had nine tackles and two sacks. Ben Paxton had eight tackles and one interception. The Broncos will play in the semifinals Friday afternoon in Hay Springs. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT/2 p.m. MT.
