Archie L. Juracek

Archie Leonard Juracek, 83, of O'Neill, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.

Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill. 

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at the church in O'Neill. Pastor John Nelson officiated.

Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of the arrangements.

Archie was born May 31, 1938 near Bristow, to Leonard and Helen (Ellis) Juracek. He attended O’Neill Public School and graduated in 1956.

He was married (later divorced) to Lavada Frerichs Aug. 15, 1959. To this union were born four children Lynn, Jacki, Gayle and Randy.

Archie farmed and ranched but also worked at Spelts Lumber Yard and Kansas-Nebraska Gas Co. before retiring to farm and ranch with his father Leonard, northeast of O’Neill.

Archie, in his free time, mainly enjoyed driving and exploring the countryside typically in Nebraska, South Dakota and Colorado.

Archie is survived by his special friend Lillian Strope of O’Neill; three children Lynn (Deanne) Juracek of Scottsdale, AZ, Gayle (Dianna) Juracek of Wichita, KS, and Randy (Amy) Juracek of Manhattan, KS; one son-in-law Martin Wiseman of O’Neill; honorary daughter Rose (Strope) Foran of O’Neill; 10 grandchildren Mardi (Matt) Pelan, Jeri (Sam) Rama, Aaron Juracek, Kali Juracek, Cole Juracek, Alyssa Juracek, Ryan Juracek, Kendra (Blake) Rogers, Kayla Foran and Vincent Foran; and four great-grandchildren Sam Rama, Ivanka Rama, Lilly Rogers and Jameson Foran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Jacki Wiseman in 2010.
