Larry D. Gifford

Pierz, MN — Larry Daniel Gifford, 85, of Pierz, MN, formerly of Lynch and O'Neill, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 at Harmony House in Pierz, MN.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Heritage Church in Baxter, MN.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the church in Baxter, MN.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Brenny Family Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Baxter, MN is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Lynch, to Charles and Mildred (Hansen) Gifford, Larry was raised with deep Christian faith, resilience and a strong work ethic. 

He graduated from high school in O'Neill, moved to Brainerd, MN, farmed with his family and served in the Minnesota Army National Guard.

Larry married Audrey Anderson in 1967, and they had four children. 

In 1981, he married Janet Kendrick, and together they blended their family and shared 44 years of marriage. 

A lifelong self-employed farmer, he made his home in Brainerd, St. Joseph, Richmond and Fort Ripley, MN. Farming was his calling, but his greatest purpose was serving the Lord. 

His faith was central to his life—openly shared, deeply lived and rooted in Scripture. He sought to encourage others, speak about salvation and leave a spiritual legacy for his children and grandchildren.

Larry will be remembered for his steadfast faith in Christ, his love of family and the spiritual heritage he leaves behind.

Larry is survived by his seven children Annette O'Brien, Jeffrey Pilapil, Pamala Kay-Williams, Charles Gifford, Larry Robert Gifford, Rachel (Leo) James and Adam (Erica) Gifford; his brother Ray (Patience) Gifford; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Audrey and his sister Janet Stearns.
