On Feb. 6, 2025, the Wheeler County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Tri-City Drug Enforcement Team (TRIDENT), and the Greeley County Sheriff's Office seized more than 40 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Highway 91 east of Erickson Nebraska. A Wheeler County man has been arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance. This is an ongoing investigation with the Wheeler County Sheriff's' Office and TRIDENT.
