Jun 26, 2024 (0)

Clearwater is gearing up to celebrate it's 57th Big Rodeo this weekend from June 28 to 30. Held at the Gene Snodgrass arena, this event is held every year in Clearwater during the last weekend of June.

Friday, June 28 will kick off this year's event with Mutton Busting at 7:00 p.m. Before the Rodeo, Miss Clearwater will be crowned at 7:30 p.m. The first performance of the Big Rodeo will commence shorty after. Ending the night will be a performance on Main Street by the Tim Zach Band until 1 a.m.

Saturday starts early with a Volleyball tournament beginning at 8 a.m., followed by inflatables  and food in the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 6 p.m. Mutton Busting again precedes the Rodeo.

Still on Saturday, at 8 p.m., country singer Luke Mills will take the stage to get this year's concert going. Mills was nominated for album of the year back in 2017 with his record “Reboot”.

An hour later singer Noah Hicks will be on stage, undoubtedly performing hits such as “Drinkin' Alone”, “Red Clay Summer” and “Dirt On It”.

Ending the night at 10 p.m. is Nate Smith. Smith saw popularity after his song “Wildfire” went viral. Soon after, he signed a record deal and went on to continue releasing hits.

The final day of the Big Rodeo will conclude with Mutton Busting at 6 p.m. with the third and final Rodeo following soon after.

Tickets will be available at area businesses until June 28 for just $25. KBRX will be one of the businesses selling tickets. The day of the concert, tickets can still be purchased at the gate for $35.

With weather predicted in the mid-70's in Clearwater this weekend, it's a perfect time to watch the annual Big Rodeo.
