This week marks the end of the 2023-2024 basketball season for the St. Mary's Cardinals with the boys early departure from State. This year showed some impressive play from the Cards, especially the girls. The Lady Cardinals ended their season with a 23-4 record, coming to an end with a fourth place State Tournament placing. Their longest win streak was 16 wins and their highest score match was played February 6 when they downed Boyd County 83-36. The Cardinal Men ended their season with an 18-7 record, ending with a trip to State in Lincoln. Their longest win streak was six wins and their highest score match was played January 16 when they bested Santee 88-45.
