Last week was a quiet one for the St. Mary's Cardinals, with both boys and girls only playing one game. It was on Tuesday, Jan. 16 when the girls hosted the Santee Warriors and quickly sent them home. First onto the court was the lady Cardinals, who easily took out their competition. The Cards took an early lead of nine points and only further cemented their victory in quarter two where they won 32-8. Quarter three was another Cardinal victory, and the fourth was a simple 6-4 take-down to win the game easy. Alissa Brabec was the MVP of the game with 24 points, shooting three of 12 three-pointers for 25 percent and six of 11 two-pointers for 55 percent. Brabec also had four rebounds and three steals; Mya Hedstrom had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals; Annabelle Barlow 12 points, seven rebounds and five steals; Gracie Williamson 10 points, three rebounds and three steals; Lorissa Reiman eight points, 12 rebounds and two steals; Pyper Ickes eight points, three rebounds and two steals; Adyson Peterson five points, five rebounds and three steals; and Lily Bauer and Emerson Mlnarik two rebounds each.
