The O'Neill Post Office has a new Postmaster, and she is native to the city. Carrie Meyers has been officially named to the position this month but has been in the facility since November 8 of last year. Carrie "Williams" Meyers graduated from O'Neill High School in 2001 and is married to Jason Meyers. They have two children: a daughter named Charly, a seventh grader, and a son, Hutton, a seventh grader, both attending the O'Neill Public Schools. Meyers has been with the postal service since 2008, She was with the district office serving Nebraska, Iowa, and parts of Kansas; Meyers has also been in post offices in Kearney and Ord and was the Elgin Post Master most recently. "I'm so happy to be back in O'Neill as part of my job. I want to be involved in the community that I'm in. When I was living in Burwell, I helped do fundraising for the NRA, had a good time, and was successful in raising funds. As a postmaster and a resident of O'Neill, I want to help the community. Meyers replaced Diane Greene, who was the former postmaster for 15 years.
