The Stuart Broncos had a great week with hosting Sub-District volleyball at home due to them leading their district in points. The Broncos went in number one seed, first off for the broncos were the CWC Renegades on Monday night and the Broncos came out ready to play. All players contributed to the match with the girls taking them down in 3. Tuesday night the broncos took on Ansley Litchfield, a very scrappy defensive team. The broncos started off slow but once they got going with aggressive serving and consistent passing they were able to get the momentum going. The girls got stronger in both the second and third set and never looked back, taking them down in 3 sets. The girls went into the district finals with the sixth seed and took on the Leyton Warriors in Gordon Saturday afternoon. Once again the girls started off slow struggling with the passing and unforced errors seem to plague them in the first set. The girls put up a fight but could not catch them. The second set the Broncos came out rolling and with great passing and aggressive hitting they never gave Leyton a chance letting them only score 7 points. The next set the girls struggled early but battled back and were able to overtake them. The fourth set the girls got a comfortable lead, but relaxed a little too much to make the set closer than what it should have been. Coaches were proud of how the girls battled in this game against a scrappy Leyton team. The girls will be heading down to state to take on number three Meridian on Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
