The O'Neill Eagles traveled to the Wayne Country Club for the District C-3 Cross Country Invite on Wednesday, October 11th. Runners enjoyed near perfect conditions on Wednesday as temperatures were in the 70's. The teams competing at the C-3 District were Battle Creek, Bloomfield-Wausa, Boone Central, Columbus Lakeview, Hartington, Madison, North Bend Central, O'Neill, Ord, Pierce, Scotus Central Catholic, and Wayne. The O'Neill Lady Eagles finished in 7th place as a team with a score of 111. The Lady Eagles had one medalist on the day as sophomore Taya Dickau placed 14th running a time of 22:50.28. With the top 15 finish Taya Dickau qualifies for the Class C Girls State Cross Country Meet next Friday, October 20th in Kearney. The O'Neill Eagle boys finished in 10th place with a team score of 135. The Eagles didn't have a runner place in the top 15 as their season comes to a close at districts in Wayne.
