O'Neill Development Corp. Seeking Contractors To Build 3 Homes In Community

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development awarded the O'Neill Chamber of Commerce and the O'Neill Development Corporation $1,000,000 from the 2022 round of Nebraska's Rural Workforce Housing Fund (RWHF). Matched with $500,000 of local funding, this revolving loan fund helps communities create quality, affordable housing to accommodate growth. Through this program, we are able to build new owner-occupied housing costing no more than $325,000. The O'Neill Chamber of Commerce and the O'Neill Development Corporation are seeking bids to build up to three new single family homes on pre-identified lots.

Workforce housing is defined as housing that meets the needs of today's working families with housing that is attractive to new residents that meets the needs of today's working families. The intent of the workforce housing investment funds is long range and if awarded, will allow continual investment in workforce housing projects within our community.

Bids will be accepted from Sept. 1, 2023 to Oct. 15, 2023. Bids must be received as one single sum price contract.
