The O'Neill Girls Track and Field team traveled to Broken Bow on Thursday, April 6th to compete in the always competitive Broken Bow Invitational. Some of the best teams in Class B and C were there to compete. Junior Presley Heiss continued to impress in the sprints clocking her best times of the year in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Her time of 12.99 in the prelims equals her best of the year and her 27.40 in the 200 is a season best. She competed against some of the best sprinters in the state and held her own, finishing third in the 100 and 6th in the 200. The 3200 Relay team of Taya Dickau, Mollie Corkle, Ashley Dickau and Autumn Hilker ran their season best time of 11:01.43 to finish in 3rd place. Taya also had a personal best time of 6:05.94 in the 1600 to place 7th. Ashley also had a good day in the 3200 run by placing fifth with a time of 13:34.47. "We go to this meet to compete against some of the best teams in the State so we can improve, and we did just that. We had several personal bests in this meet and we look forward to hosting our own O'Neill Invitational on Thursday, April 13th" said Coach Mike Peterson.
