The St. Mary's girls had some mixed matches last week. Their travels brought them to Grand Island Central Catholic and Osceola last Thursday and Saturday.

The first match against the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders could've gone better for the Cardinals, but they gave it their all and ended on a pretty even score.

No quarter scores were provided by the time of publication, however the final score was 35-45 in the Crusaders favor.

Alissa Brabec takes the lead in this game with 12 points, shooting two of five three-pointers for 40 percent and two of six two-pointers for 33 percent, as well as one rebound; Mya Hedstrom eight points and three rebounds; Lorissa Reiman seven points and 12 rebounds, Annabelle Barlow five points and two rebounds; Hope Williamson three points and four rebounds; and Gracie Williamson one rebound.

In the Cardinals next match on Saturday, they  faced off against the Osceola Bulldogs. This was the Cards final match of 2022, and what a game to end on.

The Cards had some solid offense and defense, rarely ever allowing the Bulldogs to score.

Like the last game, No quarter scores were provided by the time of publication, however the final score was also recorded, that being 61-18, a staggering 43 point lead by the end.

Brabec lead again this match with 20 points, shooting four of four three-pointers for 100 percent and three of nine two-pointers for 33 percent, as well as two rebounds; Hedstrom 16 points and one rebound; G. Williamson eight points and four rebounds; Reiman sven points and 16 rebounds; Hope Williamson five points and eight rebounds; Barlow five points and two rebounds; Ryanne Pistulka four rebounds; and Lily Bauer one rebound;
