St. Mary's Isaac Everitt dodges a Randolph defense for an opening in last Thursday's game.

The St. Mary's Cardinals scored a big 60-6 win over the Randolph Cardinals on Thursday, Sept. 1 at home.

St. Mary's had its way with Randolph, scoring 60 points in three quarters, and with a running clock had the bench playing.

St. Mary's ran 42 plays with 18 first downs and had two penalties for 15 yards. SMH had 526 total yards and eight touchdowns. Gage Hedstrom ran in three touchdowns, Isaac Everitt ran in two touchdowns, one touchdown catch and two two-point conversions; Risken Dawson one touchdown catch; Carson Dannenbring one touchdown catch and two two-point conversions; and Jace Rosenkrans two conversions for the Cardinals.

The Cards got on the board when Hedstrom connected with Dannenbring on a 42-yard touchdown and then hit Rosenkrans for the two-point conversion. Randolph's only score came on a 13-yard touchdown pass, and had no luck with the conversion. Hedstrom took the ensuing kick back for a 70-yard touchdown, with Everitt bringing in the two points after.

In the second quarter, Hedstrom took in the next touchdown. The following touchdown, he ran in on a 14-yard touchdown. Hedstrom hit Dawson on a 17-yard touchdown reception. Everitt ran in the next touchdown from 23 yards out. Hedstrom hit Everitt for the final touchdown from the three yards out.

Hedstrom threw seven times for 123 yards and three touchdowns.

Everitt led St. Mary's with 10 carries for 102 yards; Dawson had seven carries for 48 yards; Hedstrom four carries for 40 yards; Dannenbring five carries for 22 yards; and Kyle Pribil three carries for 15 yards.

Dannenbring had three catches for 92 yards, Dawson one catch for 17 yards and Everitt two catches for 14 yards.

Hedstrom led the St. Mary's defense with 17 tackles and one interception, Wyatt Scofield 15 tackles and one sack, Everitt and Dawson 13 tackles each, Dannenbring nine tackles, Rosenkrans eight tackles, Pribil seven tackles and one sack, Matt Koehlmoos six tackles, Ruger Kraft two tackles, Jack Gydesen two tackles and Joseph Wiese one tackle.

The Cardinals will play Osmond on Friday at home at 2:30 p.m.
